FX AGGREGATION FILMS

DEUTSCHE BANK

Deutsche Bank commissioned us to create a series of character-led films with the aim of explaining complex ideas about the functioning of the global foreign exchange market to a general audience. The films needed to guide the viewer through tricky, sometimes counter-intuitive, concepts in a way that was friendly, clear and easy-to-follow.

The initial brief was to develop the films as whiteboard animation, but that evolved into a simple design and animation style that retained a neutral, educational feel while also complying with their brand guidelines. This allowed us to incorporate more detailed character animation and motion graphics-led sequences better suited to illustrating some of the more technical sections.

Working from some excellent scripts drafted by the expert team at DB, we collaborated closely with them throughout the script editing, storyboarding and animation stages.

The client was delighted with the finished films and they have received an excellent response when sharing them at industry events and online. We are currently developing the next instalment in the series whilst the completed films are being translated into 3 different languages.
